David “Squeeze” Annakie / Publisher
Publisher David "Squeeze" Annakie recognized the need to fill the void of consistent news, information and music for the Caribbean-American community in New York and beyond by launching LinkUp Media Inc. in 1996 after exiting Corporate America from his roles in Accounting, Business and Technology. David Annakie's last corporate role prior to become a full time entrepreneur was in the executive capacity of Technology at Pepsi Cola. Established in 2006, the glossy bimonthly JAMROCK magazine was founded by David Annakie in New York City.
Elina Furman / Editor-in-Chief
As the author of over 20 books with executive editorial positions at such magazines and websites as M.A.R. magazine, Seventeen Online, and TommyHilfiger.com among many others, Elina Furman brings over 12 years of media experience to JAMROCK magazine. Her articles have been featured in The Knot, OK! magazine, Nikki Style and many other national publications. She has appeared on over 100 television and radio shows, including The Today Show, Good Morning America, and CBS’ The Early Show. Frequently quoted in newspapers and magazines, her books have been featured in Time magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, USA Today, The Washington Post, Entertainment Weekly, Cosmopolitan, Chicago Tribune and Fortune.
Gilbert Gomez / Art Director
Born in NYC and brought up both in NY and the Dominican Republic, Gilbert Gomez brings the best of both worlds -- big city style with Caribbean flavor. Graduating from Parsons The New School for Design in 1998, he got his start in corporate design, branding and advertising. Gomez also worked in printing for 5 years before going independent which gave him the tools and skills create an effective visual story. Entertainment clients include Bad Boy Worldwide, Universal Records, Motown Records, Epic Records, Warner Brothers Records, Virgin Music, J Records, Tommy Boy Records and Arista Records. He also worked with Microsoft, Seagram's Gin, and Martell Cognac. He has acted as JAMROCK’s Art Director from its beginnings.
Allison Tellis-Hind / Advertising Director
Allison Tellis-Hinds started her career at Conde Nast - Gourmet Magazine as a Small Space Advertising Representative where she worked on sixty small space accounts and as a Sales Assistatant where she worked along side the Wine & Spirits and Table Top managers. At Gourmet Allison learned how to foster and maintain successful business relationships and to provide excellent client services to the Advertising Community. In 1994, Allison started her career with Johnson Publishing Company as a National Account Representative where she travelled all over country working with major accounts such as Nike, Seagram's, Lolliard, Ford, General Motors, ROTC and more. Allison got promoted after winning the Nike account and became the Senior Account Executive on JET Magazine. She did exceptionally well bringing in over one million dollars in one year and was promoted to the Eastern Advertising Manager who reported directly to the Johnsons for nine years. As the Eastern Advertising Manager, Allison was responsible for over nine million dollars of total yearly revenue. As a selling manager she worked on accounts such as Absolut, Alberto Culver, AstraZeneca, Bermuda Tourism, Burger King, Combe Inc, Coca-Cola, Diageo, Gilead - Truvada, HBO, Home Depot, JMARS, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Ford, Procter & Gamble, Pernod Ricard, L'Oreal/Nestle, Loews Home Improvement, Public Supermarkets and more.

Allison is happy to be part of the JAMROCK family and looks forward to working on mutually successful marketing campaigns and building successful relationships in the advertising community.
